ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Educational Qualification
- Higher Secondary Level : 65% aggregate marks in class 10th (for Class 11 or 12 students)
- Graduation Level : 60% aggregate marks in Higher Secondary (for under graduate students)
- Post Graduation Level : 55% aggregate marks in Graduation (for post graduation students)
But be careful that if you got more than 75% mark in Secondary, HS or Graduation, then you will not be eligible for that scholarship.
Residential
Candidates must have to be permanent resident of West Bengal. You have to collect a residential certificate for Gram Panchayat or BDO for verification purpose.
Current Course
You have to complete last year examination with this qualifying marks. Also you must have to be studied in any of the institute. Otherwise you can’t get signature of institute head which is required during submission of application.
Means, Students must have to admit in any of the institution in state after either their state board or state aided university.
Family Income
The maximum family income of the family of the candidate must be within 60000 per annuam.
Other Criteria
Students who are getting any other state government or central government scholarship are not eligible for that scholarship. But if you are getting any scholarship from private sector, the you can apply for Nabanna Scholarship also. But you can apply for Rupashree Prakalpa.
AMOUNTING SCHEME
The Eligible candidates will get Rs. 10000/year of your current course duration.
Amount will be directly transferred after 5-6 months of submitting application. In some cases it may be more that 1 year. We have got call from many students who have got money after 1 year. So don’t worry about this. If you have applied for Chef minister relief fund scholarship carefully, then surely you will get your money. You can also contact at their office to know the status. They don’t publish any list for selected candidates. So there are not any other way to know when you will receive money.
APPLICATION PROCESS
1) There are two process for applying
- Through Plain Paper – Write a fresh application on own handwriting with sign
- Through Application – Download and fill up the application form
Second one is better and easy to apply for this scholarship.
2) Attach the ”Recommendation copy of MLA or MP” or ”Self Declaration” copy issued by Head of your current institution.
3) Attach the mandatory documents. (mentioned below)
4) Submit the application form at Nabanna (for South Bengal students) or Uttarkanya (for North Bengal students)

Application Form is that one in which you have to provide some personal details, Educational qualification, Bank details etc. So you have to be so much careful during filling up the form. Bank account details need to be given carefully.
Recommendation copy of MLA or MP
This is a copy that need to be signed by your area MLA or MP. This is mandatory to submit this copy.
Self Declaration
Self declaration is also needed to submit for applying Nabanna Scholarship. It means which information you are giving all the correct and you are eligible for the scholarship.
IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS
- Mark sheets of all previous examination passed.
- Rank card & Allotment letter of Selection Committee (only for JEE or Equivalent Examination).
- Monthly Family Income Certificate from any one mentioned within the bracket – (DM/ SDO/ BDO / Group-A Govt. Officer not below the rank of Joint B.D.O./ Executive Officer in case of Municipality / Deputy Commissioner of Corporation).
- Recommendation copy of MLA or MP to the Hon’ble Chief Minister stating monthly family income of the student.
- Self declaration of the student under his/her signature regarding present course of study mentioning year/semester and receipt of any scholarship / aid/assistance, duly countersigned by the head of the Present institution with seal.
- Self Bank Account details (IFSC Code, Branch Code, Branch Name, Account Number, Bank Name) with photocopy of Bank Pass Book.
- Photo Copy of tution/admission fees book.

Where to submit Nabanna Form
South Bengal Students:
Nabanna, 14th Floor, 325 Sarat Chatterjee Road, Shibpur, Howrah- 711102
North Bengal Students:
UTTARKANYA, P.O.Satellite Township, Fulbari, Jalpaiguri-734015.
Any candidate or his/her parents can submit the Nabanna application form. Form will not be accepted by anyone else. Also you have to submit the for at their office during office hours. If you send it through post/ speed post, it will be rejected.
After submitting the form you will get receipt copy that contain a unique receipt no. Keep it carefully for future use. You can show this receipt copy in future to know the application status.
SELECTION PROCESS
This Financial assistance is processed by Chief Minister’s Office and CMRF cell. The selection of candidates is purely based on merit or score in the previous examination. This financial assistance (money) is directly transferred to their Bank account.
LAST DATE TO APPLY FOR NABANA
There are no exact/fixed date to apply for this Scholarship. Candidates are eligible to apply at any time during his/her current course. Nabanna scholarship 2021 last date is not mentioned officially.
